The Author
Jean Kercheval is a Seattle-based writer and photographer who has been creating portraits for over 30 years. She has earned multiple awards within the internationally acclaimed Portrait Masters. Her images have appeared in a range of fashion editorial magazines as well as in various online publications.
Jean’s creative work has often blended the written word with the visual image. She was the creator, photographer, and writer of the Quarter Life Crisis project, a digital magazine featuring twenty-one intimate interviews accompanied by moody, black-and-white imagery of young adults. This project found a global audience through its publication on an international platform, and is also accessible via her website at https://kerchevalphotography.com.
Her recent book, Creative and Obsessed: Interviews with Artists From Around the World, is a collection of thirteen interviews, accompanied by portraits of the artists and their remarkable work. They share their sources of inspiration and creative processes, offering a glimpse into their creative mindset.
